2011-08-01
For the last couple of years Market Access has been cooperating with BoardBia (The Irish Food Board) in the Portuguese fish market research and analysis activities. Various studies and on-site surveys have been conducted.

Portugal has the highest consumption per capita in terms of fishery products in the European Union with 56,5 Kg per person per year (EU average: 22,7 Kg/per person/per year). In this project Market Access conducts the research and analysis with particular focus on products such as fish and seafood.

The study will allow the Irish Government Agency to collect both qualitative and quantitative information in order to define in-depth strategies for promoting Irish products. BoardBia´s mission is to develop and promote Irsih Food in international markets.
